​Team ATTAQ is a Dutch long-track speed skating team sponsored by Skate-Tec, one of the most respected names in skating world. Skate-Tec has been around for decades in the Netherlands, focusing on innovation and craftsmanship. They design high-performance blades, tools, jigs that Olympians and top skaters all over the world trust. Their commitment to quality and staying ahead of the game is what has made them a leader in the sport.

When they welcomed me into the team, it felt different right away. The professionalism mixed with real warmth pulled me in instantly. They don't just look at me as another athlete—they see me as Emma. Their feedback is always honest, professional, and given with real conviction. They push me hard, but they also support me completely. They help me to be the best version of myself, not only on the ice but as a person too. I know they're always there for me.

I'm fully aware my path is unusual. My speed skating career is still very new—there are so many things I don't know yet about the sport. But that's exactly why this team feels so right. My coaches—Irma de Joode, Mirjam, and Eric Zachrisson—have over 50 years of experience combined. They've been in the sport forever, but they never stop learning or evolving. Their knowledge is unmatched, their dedication is constant, and the way they care about each athlete feels personal and real.

To me, they are like a second set of parents. They are no strangers—they're family. That's the kind of closeness I get when I'm part of a team that truly cares about me as an individual. They don’t define me by who I am on the ice—they see me for who I am as a person first, and take care of me like their own daughter.

The training is super specific. Their development program is built around the individual—everything is customized to my name, my strengths, my weaknesses, and my goals. Nothing is one-size-fits-all. The resources and connections they have are wide and deep: world-class facilities, top equipment through Skate-Tec, access to specialists, physiotherapists, and a network that opens doors to so many opportunities. That kind of tailored support and high-level access is exactly why I've progressed so much in such a short time.

Being part of Team ATTAQ means I'm in good hands. They believe in me, they challenge me, and they support me through every single step. This isn't just a team—it's a place where I can grow technically, physically, and as a person. I'm grateful every day for the opportunity they've given me.
